Characteristics of team

At Hochschule Bochum, every 2 years, around 60 students of different faculties design and build a new solar vehicle. The project is organized into the fields of mechanics, electronics, engine, strategy, organisation, sustainability and media.
Under the slogan “learning by doing”, the students can individually contribute with their ideas and abilities to the project’s development.
Every 2 years, the team participates in the World Solar Challenge in Australia. The competition entries from Bochum are always considered to rank among the most substantial innovations.

Team's "ambitions"
for this year's BWSC

The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is especially valuable to the team because they will meet like-minded people from around the world.
This includes not only the exchange of expert knowledge regarding the construction of a solar car, but the cultural exchange and international friendships that are precious experiences for all participants.
The team has always been keen to be a part of the great solar car community and enjoys the friendly competition.
Furthermore, to see the self-constructed car in the midst of the outback scenery of Australia is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity all the team members will remember forever.
